Privacy Policy

Last Updated:

Introduction and scope

USGA Inc. (“USGA,” “we,” or “us”) respects the privacy of the people who visit our website at usgainc.com. This policy explains:

  • what information is collected through the website,
  • how that information is used,
  • how it may be disclosed,
  • which website technologies are involved,
  • the choices visitors have, and
  • how to contact USGA about website privacy.

This policy applies to this website. It is not a description of every record USGA may hold outside the website, such as offline business, customer, project, or employment records.

Information you provide

You choose what to send us. The website has two forms that collect information you type into them.

Contact form

  • Name and email address
  • Phone number and company, if you provide them
  • Reason for contacting us, if you choose one
  • Your message, including any project or inquiry details you enter

Join the Team form

  • Name, email address, and phone number
  • Position or type of work you are interested in
  • Years of relevant experience
  • Preferred method of contact
  • A short experience summary, information about yourself, and certifications or skills, if you provide them

The Join the Team form does not accept a résumé or any file upload, and it is not a formal employment application.

Both forms include free-text fields, so you can enter anything in them. Please do not include sensitive information that is not needed for your inquiry, such as Social Security numbers, financial account numbers, or health information.

If you contact USGA directly by email or phone using the details on this website, we receive the information you share in that communication.

Technical and network information

The USGA website application does not intentionally capture the following as part of processing a form submission: your IP address, a device identifier, precise location, an advertising identifier, your browser’s user-agent string, or referrer or campaign (UTM) information.

Like any website, though, the services that deliver it necessarily receive standard technical information when your browser requests a page. Depending on the service, that can include your IP address, browser request headers, basic browser or device information, the time of the request, and the page or address requested. This policy does not describe how long those providers keep such records; each provider’s own practices apply. See “Service providers” and “Google Maps” below.

How we use information

We use the information described above to:

  • respond to questions and business inquiries;
  • communicate with you about projects or services you ask about;
  • evaluate and respond to Join the Team submissions;
  • operate and maintain the website;
  • protect the website and our systems against misuse;
  • maintain appropriate business communications and records; and
  • comply with legal obligations when they apply.

We do not use website information for advertising, to build marketing profiles, to add you to a mailing list, or to sell leads. If that ever changes, we will update this policy first.

How form submissions are delivered

When you submit a form, the website sends your submission electronically, as an email, to authorized USGA personnel. We currently use an email-delivery service, Resend, to send those messages, so Resend may process the submitted information while delivering it.

Contact form messages are addressed to abram@usgainc.com and bids@usgainc.com. “Join the Team” submissions are addressed to abram@usgainc.com, martin@usgainc.com and Kyoungblood@usgainc.com. After delivery, the email becomes part of USGA’s business email records. See “Data retention” below.

Service providers

USGA uses service providers to operate this website. The current categories, and the providers in them, are:

  • Website hosting and platform: Netlify
  • Email delivery for form submissions: Resend
  • Business email: the email system USGA uses for its own company mailboxes
  • Mapping: Google, through Google Maps (see below)

These providers handle information as needed to provide their services to us. Each operates under its own terms and privacy practices, and this policy does not describe their retention periods or internal processing.

Google Maps

Some pages of this website, such as the home page, the Contact page, and the Join the Team page, include an embedded Google Map showing our office. The map loads automatically; you do not need to click anything to display it.

Your browser connects directly to Google when it loads the embedded map. Depending on where the map sits on the page and on your browser, that can happen as the page opens or as you scroll toward the map. As part of that connection, Google may receive technical information such as your IP address, browser and device information, and information identifying the website and map account that requested the map. Google may also use cookies or similar technologies in connection with its services, according to Google’s own practices.

That connection is between your browser and Google. The USGA website does not collect this information itself, and we do not control how Google uses it. To learn more, see the Google Privacy Policy (opens in a new tab) and the Google Maps and Google Earth Additional Terms of Service (opens in a new tab).

The “Get Directions” link opens Google Maps in a new tab, and only if you click it.

Cookies, browser storage, and similar technologies

The USGA website

The USGA website application does not currently set cookies for analytics, advertising, visitor profiling, or behavioral tracking. It does not run Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Meta Pixel, LinkedIn Insight Tag, Hotjar, Microsoft Clarity, session-replay tools, or comparable advertising or tracking software.

Theme preference

If you switch between light and dark mode, the website saves your choice in your browser’s local storage so the site looks the same the next time you visit. It saves only that selection, either “light” or “dark.” It is not used to identify you or to track your behavior. Local storage is a browser feature that is separate from cookies, and it stays in your browser until you change the setting or clear your browser’s site data.

Third-party services

Google Maps, described above, is a third-party service. Google may use cookies or similar technologies when it provides a map; those are controlled by Google, not USGA. Most browsers let you review, block, or delete cookies and site data in their settings.

Sale, sharing, and advertising

USGA does not sell personal information collected through this website.

USGA does not share website visitor personal information with third parties for cross-context behavioral advertising or targeted advertising, and does not currently use website information to build advertising profiles about visitors. USGA does not operate an advertising or behavioral-marketing program through this website.

Do Not Track and online tracking

The USGA website does not currently use advertising technologies to track visitors across unrelated websites for targeted advertising, and USGA does not use information obtained through this website for cross-context behavioral advertising. Because the website does not operate that kind of tracking, a browser’s “Do Not Track” signal does not change how the website works.

Google Maps is a separately described third-party service (see “Google Maps” above). This section is about USGA’s own website and is not a statement about Google’s practices.

Data retention

USGA does not currently maintain one fixed retention period for website inquiry emails. Messages you send through the website may be kept in USGA’s company email and business records for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to your inquiry, manage the related business matter, maintain appropriate business records, and address operational or legal requirements. Messages may also be removed during routine mailbox and storage management.

The theme preference stays in your browser until you change it or clear your browser’s site data. We do not promise automatic deletion of any information on a particular schedule.

Security

USGA uses reasonable safeguards appropriate to this website and the information it handles, including encrypted (HTTPS) connections to the website. No method of transmission over the internet or of electronic storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children

This website is a business, general-audience website. It is not directed to children under 13, and USGA does not knowingly seek personal information from children under 13 through it. If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child has submitted personal information through the website, please contact us using the details below.

Your choices and privacy requests

You decide whether to send information through our forms. You can also reach USGA by phone or email instead, and you can clear the saved theme preference by clearing your browser’s site data.

If you have questions about this policy, or about information you personally submitted through the website, you can contact us to ask what we received, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. We may ask for enough information to reasonably identify and locate the message in question. We will handle requests consistent with applicable law and our legitimate recordkeeping needs, and we cannot promise deletion in every circumstance.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the website’s technology, our business practices, or legal requirements change. The “Last Updated” date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised.
